Goda Poha (Flat rice sweetened with jaggery)
God Poha
Flat Rice a.k.a Poha is sweetened with fresh cococut, cardamom powder and jaggery syrup.
Ingredients
- 1/2 Cup Thin Beaten Rice/Poha
- 1/4 Cup Jaggery powder
- 1/2 Cup Fresh grated coconut You can find this in frozen section in Indian grocery stores
- 2 Pieces Cardamom pods – seeds powdered
- 4 Tbsp Water
Instructions
- Heat a pan on medium heat and add water. Add jaggery power in it and mix until it dissolves
- Heat the jaggery syrup for 3-4 minutes until you see it starts boiling. Lower the heat.
- Add coconut gratings and mix it well and cook for 2 minutes. Switch off the gas and let it cool. It should be warm before you add in the poha/beaten rice.
- Add cardamom powder and poha and mix it well until you see poha is coated in the coconut mixture. Serve as it or with some spicy sev on top
