God Poha

Flat Rice a.k.a Poha is sweetened with fresh cococut, cardamom powder and jaggery syrup.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 Cup Thin Beaten Rice/Poha
  • 1/4 Cup Jaggery powder
  • 1/2 Cup Fresh grated coconut You can find this in frozen section in Indian grocery stores
  • 2 Pieces Cardamom pods – seeds powdered
  • 4 Tbsp Water

Method
 

  1. Heat a pan on medium heat and add water. Add jaggery power in it and mix until it dissolves
    Boil Jaggery
  2. Heat the jaggery syrup for 3-4 minutes until you see it starts boiling. Lower the heat.
  3. Add coconut gratings and mix it well and cook for 2 minutes. Switch off the gas and let it cool. It should be warm before you add in the poha/beaten rice.
  4. Add cardamom powder and poha and mix it well until you see poha is coated in the coconut mixture. Serve as it or with some spicy sev on top
